Just let Donald Trump have his silly 2024 fantasy
– Various news outlets are reporting that Donald Trump is now eyeing 2024. One of the best things going for us is that Trump is delusional. No, really. If he talks himself into believing that he can somehow magically win in 2024, he’s more likely to go peacefully now. We all know he (and his kids) will be in prison long before then, but let him have his silly 2024 fantasy for now. By 2024, it’ll end up looking as silly as the post-2012 narrative that Sarah Palin was somehow going to be the frontrunner in 2016.
– Trump is facing prison and bankruptcy and he knows it. He simply has no leverage. The more people he fires, or the bigger mess he makes, the more his allies will start abandoning him in the name of insulating themselves. He may do a lot of yelling, but this will likely end with a whimper.
– No, Mitch McConnell is not trying to help Trump magically overturn the results of the election. McConnell knows that’s not even a real thing. He’s just trying to scare us into being too distracted to fight and win the Georgia runoff races. Just stop listening to McConnell. He’s never honest about his intentions anyway, so why start believing him now?
