Trump-Russia conspirator Roger Stone claims U.S. intel community tried to assassinate him today

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Things just keep getting worse for the hapless Roger Stone. The former Donald Trump campaign adviser is allegedly under FBI investigation for his role in the Trump-Russia scandal, and last week he admitted that he communicated directly with the Russian government hacker who rigged the election. And now Stone is making the incredible claim that the U.S. intel community tried to assassinate him today.

Roger Stone says he was the victim of a car accident today, referring to it on Twitter as a “suspicious hit and run” by a vehicle with a “dark tinted windshield.” Stone appears to believe that if you’re in a car accident, the most likely conclusion is that the United States government is trying to assassinate you. He goes on to further posit that he knows he was targeted because the would-be assassin hit the passenger side of the car, where he was seated (nevermind that roughly half of all T-bone car accidents are on the passenger side).

Stone then went on to appear on the talk show of conspiracy addicted gun-nut Alex Jones today, opining that “It didn’t seem like an accident” and asserting that he’s a “consistent critic of the Deep State, that’s why I think I’m targeted.” Because in Roger Stone’s paranoid mind, when the FBI and CIA decide to assassinate you, they do so by involving you in a random car accident so minor that you’re not seriously injured.

Meanwhile back in the real world, Roger Stone is now one of at least seven Donald Trump campaign advisers who have admitted to communicating with Russian government representatives during the course of the election. If Stone wants to worry about his well being, he might want to start thinking about what kind of plea deal he’s willing to work out with the FBI so that Trump goes to prison instead of him.
