Her heart will not go on: Celine Dion rejects Donald Trump’s inauguration

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The growing roster of artists refusing to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration it turning out to be one of the most star studded lists of all time. You can now add Celine Dion to the list, after the hundred million album selling Canadian singer rejected an attempt at booking her to perform at the Trump inaugural. This comes at the end of a week in which Trump lost out on pretty much everyone he wanted.

Celine Dion’s decision that her ‘heart will not go on’ stage with Donald Trump, which was first reported by entertainment publication The Wrap, comes just two days after Italian singer Andrea Bocelli bowed out as well. As Palmer Report previously reported, after Bocelli begged off, Trump’s camp insisted that Trump didn’t want him anyway. And this comes just four days after country singer Garth Brooks also turned down an invitation. So who’s left?

While the names of Ted Nugent and Kid Rock have been associated with Trump’s inaugural, presumably because they’re the only two famous musicians who actually like him, neither has actually been confirmed for the event. At this point the only person to be performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration is former America’s Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho, who rather fittingly got the second most votes.
