Fox News bans Andrew Napolitano after FBI rejects Donald Trump’s phony Obama wiretap claim

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump had an utterly terrible day today, as FBI Director James Comey publicly confirmed that there is absolutely no evidence to support Trump’s phony claim that President Obama had wiretapped Trump Tower, but did confirm that the FBI is actively investigating Russia and the Trump campaign for conspiring to rig the election. But it turns out the guy who fed Trump the phony wiretap story is having an even worse day.

Fox News contributor Andrew Napolitano was Donald Trump’s source for the phony claim that President Obama had asked Great Britain to wiretap Trump Tower. Palmer Report has been able to confirm that Napolitano got the phony story from Russia Today, a television propaganda network that is funded and controlled the Kremlin itself. But now it turns out Napolitano may have to go beg the Kremlin for a job, because it appears he just lost the job he had.

Just hours after FBI Director Comey confirmed in his testimony that there was nothing to support the claim about Obama wiretapping Trump Tower, it was revealed by the Los Angeles Times that Fox News has indefinitely banned Andrew Napolitano from its airwaves. The timing could not have been a coincidence. It appears Fox was simply waiting for confirmation from the FBI that the rogue political analyst had indeed served up a phony claim, before dumping him.

But Fox News had already publicly insulated itself from Andrew Napolitano. Three days ago, host Shep Smith announced on air that no one at Fox News could find any evidence to corroborate the on-air claim that Napolitano had made. And so, on a day in which Donald Trump desperately threw everyone from his former manager Paul Manafort to his longtime friend Roger Stone under the bus, it turns out Trump’s antics have forced his favorite cable news network to throw one of its own commentators under the bus.
