Donald Trump completely falls to pieces
Amid a crisis like coronavirus, “president” Donald Trump can’t help but show his true colors. He has previously referred to the virus as a “foreign” virus, seemingly intimating that if we didn’t allow “foreigners” into the country, the virus wouldn’t be here now. This is par for the course with Trump. He loves looking down his nose at others and confirms that his “America first” campaign means [white] America only. You would think that Trump might temper his racist behavior at a time like this, but that would require him being a decent person.
Trump tweeted that he plans to help airlines and other industries “that are particularly affected by the Chinese Virus.” What’s wrong with this man? It is impossible to believe anything other than he’s doing it purposely to continue to sow seeds of discord. One might think he’s a self-saboteur, since he was recently praised by the media for finally sounding reasonable about the coronavirus. This, of course, wipes that out.
The “China virus” crap is something that has been playing for quite some time with Trump’s right-wing supporters. Forget the fact that Asians are being attacked and crucified. Forget that all Asians are not Chinese. This is pure, racist, hateful rhetoric. According to HuffPost, Republican Senator Tom Cotton (AR), with no shame for his ignorance whatsoever, said in January that Covid-19 was created in a “Chinese super laboratory that works with the world’s most deadly pathogens.” HuffPost confirms that hate-crimes against Asians have surfaced in several areas that have suffered outbreaks. Trump is merely elevating this type of behavior with his ignorant words. HuffPost further points out that a mere two months ago, Trump was praising China “profusely” in their response to the virus, including repeated praise of President Xi Jinping when, in fact, the World Health Organization found that China was downplaying the virus and keeping its citizens in the dark until the virus became uncontained. Sound familiar? This is exactly the way Trump has handled the virus in the U.S.
The New York Times has also revealed that Trump told his advisers that he wanted to “play down” the virus because he needs the economy to be strong at election time. He was also using his China trade deal as a talking point for what a great job he is doing. Only in his mind. He boasted of the deal at a Manchester rally, telling his followers that China is “working hard.” He went on to ridiculously say that “Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away.” This man is a complete fool. At the same time, HuffPost reported that Mike Pompeo was vocal in his criticism of the Chinese government because they weren’t allowing medical personnel to freely speak. That sounds familiar as well.
Why people continue to support this two-faced fool is not clear and likely never will be. He’s obviously out to save his “presidency” and will do anything to make that happen, including endangering the American people by allowing this virus to flourish because of his ridiculous behavior. Trump and Jinping sound like twins. Maybe China will take him in once he’s ousted.
