CPAC is a disaster waiting to happen

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The upcoming far right CPAC convention is a disaster waiting to happen. CPAC is planning to have insurrectionist Donald Trump as its main speaker. That alone shows how awful this group is.

In addition to this unwelcome news, CPAC was forced to cancel one of its speakers, Young Pharaoh, because of the anti-Semitic and pro-QAnon views he had expressed. Those views include not believing in “the validity of Judaism.”

Other people set to speak at CPAC include Fist clencher Josh Hawley of Missouri, Ted Cruz of Texas, Rick Scott of Florida, and Tom Cotton of Arkansas. Also included in the lineup is nobody’s favorite Governor, Florida’s Ron DeSantis.

This list reads like a who’s who of both Trump sycophants and aspiring Presidential candidates. And all of them represent the worst of the Sedition Caucus. You will notice Liz Cheney, Lisa Murkowski, and Mitt Romney are not scheduled to speak. Also, Former VP Mike Pence turned down an appearance.

Also, CPAC’S chairman Matt Schlapp appeared on Chris Cuomo’s show on CNN and seemed to promote the debunked claims of Election fraud. The appearance was an embarrassment for Mr. Schlapp and told the story of who exactly CPAC is and what the group believes. And those beliefs are precisely why we need to ensure the Sedition party stays in the minority.
