Alec Baldwin to lead protest rally against Donald Trump outside Trump Tower
Alec Baldwin has emerged as perhaps the most prominent pop culture nemesis of Donald Trump by regularly portraying him as a buffoon on Saturday Night Live. Baldwin’s impersonations have gotten so deeply under Trump’s skin that he’s resorted to firing back at him on Twitter in frustration. And now it turns out Alec Baldwin is upping his game: there’s about to be a massive protest rally against Donald Trump outside his Trump Tower residence in New York City, and Baldwin has been announced as one of the headliners.
The announcement was made by activist Michael Moore on Saturday evening, when he tweeted that “Mark Ruffalo, Alec Baldwin & myself will be holding a massive rally in NYC in front of Trump International Hotel this Thursday, 6pm!”
NBC New York is reporting that Rosie Perez, Reverend Al Sharpton, and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will also be leading the protest.
It raises the question of whether Alec Baldwin will show up in character as Donald Trump at the protest, or whether those who attend will be getting Baldwin without the orange makeup and ugly Trump wig. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin will be lampooning Trump on SNL once again tonight.
