Why the 2022 midterms just became even more important

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The 2022 midterms are getting ever-closer. And as they do, the fight for voting legislation is heating up. This issue — voting rights — will be one of the defining issues of the mid-terms.

And it is vital that we highlight, for all to see, but particularly the people in the middle — the difference between choices these voters have.

Picture, if you will, a commercial, a split-screen. On one side, we have swarms of activists coming together in the name of justice and human freedom. This is our party We see them marching — all over our cities, calling out for the right of each of us to have the ability to cast our votes with ease ad dignity.

These people are marching for revolution, as they proudly do the work great human beings did before them so many years ago. They wear their love of country, which shines as brightly as starlight. And they march.

“What do we want?” Voting rights!”

“When do we want them? Now!”

And now we see the other political party. Through the television screen, we see some of them ask for arrest warrants — for the Democratic heroes who fled the state of Texas, with their heads held high, to fight with every fiber of their beings for EVERYBODY’S right to cast their vote.

We see the other political party calling the insurrection no big deal — not really.

And we see sweeping legislation in so many red states and other not-so-red states being passed by cowardly and terrified liars who know they cannot win any other way but through deception — and through making the voting process as difficult as humanly possible.

My friends, we cannot let that happen. I believe we can win it all. One of the ways to do that is to highlight the betrayal and the never-wavering darkness of the other side. They would tread on the rights of Americans — the rights many have died to bring us — rather than acknowledge what we know — the GOP has destroyed itself and cannot win in any honest way.
