Three more convictions

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

A state court jury in Michigan has convicted three militia insurrectionists for their actions in aiding a plot to kidnap the Democratic governor of the state in 2020.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer took necessary emergency action to impose governmental restrictions on public places and venues to help stem the tide of the roaring pandemic at that time.

The defendant militiamen considered the governor’s actions to be dictatorial infringements on their freedoms and decided that violence was the remedy for their grievances. They were even encouraged and cheered on by their fascist godfather DJT.

The insurrectionists were charged in state court with aiding the leader of the kidnapping plot in the conspiracy as well as belonging to an illegal militia group.

Some participants in the same kidnapping plot were acquitted in federal court although others, including the ringleader, were convicted.

The Trump criminal organization is currently on trial in state court for their actions in defrauding the public and other financial wrongdoing.

The state court criminal and civil trial systems might be preferable to the federal systems to prosecute the right-wing fraudsters and terrorists.

While the DOJ is no doubt presently taking steps to criminally indict Boss Trump and members of his gang, the state courts may prove to be a faster and effective route to bring long-deserved justice to the right-wing extremists and their MAGA cult supporters.
