This is embarrassing, even for Lindsey Graham

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Senator Lindsey Graham appears to be coming out of his pitiful Trump-puppy-love phase, attempting to get into macho-hate mode with his fellow comrades. Macho isn’t exactly Lindsey’s look, but I could not even look at him at all while he was drooling over Trump, so I would almost be happy for him for giving it a go if it weren’t for the fact that he has chosen to (or been ordered to) project the GQP’s racism onto Democrats, and President Biden, in particular.

On “Fox News Sunday,” when asked to react to his party’s efforts to restrict access to voting in states like Georgia, which President Biden referred to as “sick” and “Jim Crow in the 21st Century”, the S.C. Republican said, “You know what’s sick is that the President of the United States played the race card continuously in such a hypocritical way…. Every time a Republican does anything we’re a racist.” No, today’s Republicans aren’t racists because of what they do. They do the things they do because they’re racists courting racists, and it’s often not only oppressive, it’s violent and incites violence.

Graham goes on to explain himself by saying Democrats “use the racism card to advance a liberal agenda. H.R.1 is sick, not what they’re doing in Georgia.” This could be laughable, but the racism permeating our society today is nothing to laugh about.

We can no longer give in to the notion that not all Republicans today are racists, despite the fact that they may include co-workers, friends and family, especially here in Texas. When we do, we are part of the problem and we are being hypocritical. Today’s GQP is worse than the KKK because they’re both insidious and in-your-face at the same time.
