Things just keep getting uglier for this January 6th Capitol attacker

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Iowa Branch Trumpvidian (BT) and insurrectionist Doug Jensen – who was once described as a “poster boy” for the BT/Qanon terrorists who attacked the Capitol on January 6 – suffered some further legal setbacks ahead of his September 19 trial.

On Wednesday, September 7 Judge Timothy Kelly denied motions by Jensen’s attorneys to suppress an interview with FBI agents in Des Moines along with cell phone data given to the FBI. Kelly’s reasoning was that Jensen voluntarily went to the FBI in Des Moines a couple days after the attack and let them interview him. Kelly further said Jensen voluntarily gave his cell phone data to the FBI too at that time. Kelly said that as a result Jensen was not in custody when he gave the interview or provided his cell phone data, and he did not need to be Mirandized then.

If it wasn’t already apparent, Jensen hit solid rock bottom and is continuing with digging with all these legal antics. Like the legal antics the orange golden calf Jensen worships is trying, Jensen’s legal antics aren’t going to help him. If he had any sense Jensen would cut a plea deal now and roll over on his Qanon buddies but it might be difficult to convince prosecutors and the judge to go along with that considering Jensen’s previous behavioral issues when he was out on pre-trial release. Including using the internet, which he was not supposed to do. He was caugh listen to listen to extremist content and admitted to attending a cyber symposium hosted by ol’ Mikey Lindell.

Somehow I doubt Jensen is intelligent enough to plea his way out of this, or if he does abide by the conditions set down, and in any event will likely be going away for a while.
