The war isn’t over just because Donald Trump has been destroyed
Donald Trump is not smart. If you’ve been following him for only the last five years, you know this. If you’ve followed him for any longer, you knew this long before he took office. Donald Trump has always been a puppet used by smarter people to reach goals. Any goal he sought on his own failed.
We are now watching the impeachment trial hoping that Trump subsequently goes to prison on criminal charges. We are feeling pretty optimistic. But consider that the GOP may want the same thing? There is a bigger prize out there for the GOP, and Trump is the perfect distraction while the bigger goal is sought. Trump is no longer useful to those calling the shots.
The bigger goal is the end of democracy, and the GOP is a puppet just as Trump is. Begun decades ago, when the Berlin Wall fell, Russia began propping up Donald Trump individually and then the entire Republican Party collectively by funneling unlimited funds to Trump’s real estate, individual GOP candidates, and Republican causes (e.g., NRA). The key is unlimited funds funneled through oligarchs from the world’s largest kleptocracy.
Russia has attacked America through our weakest link – the Republican Party. Democracy is fragile, and it’s under attack. Donald Trump alone is not the problem; he is being used to perpetrate an invasion. The GOP is not the problem either but they are more dangerous than Trump. This is about using the power of money to entice the weak minded to do someone else’s bidding. The war is not over when Trump goes to prison.
