The GOP sinking ship is upon us

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The Trump-infested Republican Party has rotted into a foul vestige of a functional and legitimate major American political party.

The GOP is morally and ethically bankrupt, as their national committee (RNC) has formally censured their only two congressional members willing to serve on the January 6 investigation committee. Not satisfied with that unjust and draconian action, the RNC went on full-court press Orwellian denial by officially declaring the vital congressional effort convened to address the attempted coup d’etat and ransacking of our hallowed National Capital on January 6, 2021, as an un-American “persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse.”

Thus you now have a major American political party legitimizing an attempted scuttling of our venerated election system and aligning with domestic seditionists, terrorists, and traitors. This incredibly vile action, described as “ghastly”
by a leading Democrat on the January 6 panel, should rightfully sound the death knell of the GOP.

Sure enough, a full-scale civil war has broken out between the corrupt, craven Trumpublicans and the cowardly chicken-dung establishment Republicans jumping the sinking GOP ship.

Who will lower a lifeboat for these floundering ship rats or even throw them a a life preserver? Does the American public even care if the Republican Party survives? Maybe it’s better that it doesn’t, seeing that it’s just a gutted shell of the political instituition that once produced Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, and Eisenhower. R.I.P., GOP.
