Ron Johnson is in trouble

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

As the 2022 election looms ever closer, we are still waiting to see if nobody’s favorite Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson will run again.

I almost hope he does. Senator Johnson (no IQ, Insurrection party, Wisconsin) is so moronic and has become so unpopular that he might be pretty easy to beat.

But the rational side of me says it is time for the cheesehead to retire. However, although I have no way of knowing what the not-so-good Senator will do, I believe he will run again.

There are several reasons for me to think that. He already has Pacs throwing money his way. He likes power. He is likely too stupid to find anything else to do. And he might be convinced by other eager members of the insurrection party.

I hope I am wrong. But if he does run, I think we can beat him. Wisconsin was never a red state. That is a lie and a myth promoted by wistful Republicans. But we’ve won Wisconsin before. President Biden won it in 2020.

And the state needs new leadership. So, if dunderhead Johnson runs as I believe he will do, this will be a fantastic race to get involved in, whether by phone banking, donating, or whatever you can do.
