Ron DeSantis caught in corruption scandal in the Florida Keys

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The Ocean Reef Club is an uber rich enclave in the Florida Keys. It is located in North Key Largo and has around 2,100 people who live there at least on a part-time basis. The residents of this enclave are individuals of extremely high net worth. They include Wealthy Donors. In fact, they include many Republican donors.

According to the Miami Herald, the Ocean Reef club residents are doing great with their vaccinations. Just about all the residents 65 and older have been vaccinated. And while it’s good that The Ocean Reef has managed to get their people vaccinated, one wonders how it happened, particularly since so many others in Florida are struggling to find where and when to get the vaccine.

One of the people living in this enclave is Bruce Rauner. That name may not mean much to you. Mr. Rauner is a high net worth individual himself and the former Governor of Illinois. He also wrote a check to one Ron DeSantis on February 25th. That check was a campaign contribution. It was for $250,000. In fact, per the Miami Herald, the only donors to Mr. DeSantis from Key Largo all live in this particular little enclave of Ocean Reef. Hmm.
