Rachel Maddow just nailed it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

I love some good news, and for MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, there is plenty of it. The cable news ratings are in for the month of February. And they show that her show, The Rachel Maddow Show, was the most-watched cable news show in the prime time lineup.

Maddow’s audience clocked in at 3.5 million viewers. Excellent work, Rachel! Maddow was also first in the key demo of 25-54-year-olds, averaging 567,000 in that demo, beating everyone and anyone on Fox Entertainment.

But wait, there’s more! Although Fox Entertainment led in total viewers in primetime, their viewership also dropped by a staggering 30%. This is terrible news for the fake news network, and we’re sure they realize it. Both CNN and MSNBC increased their viewership, with CNN seeing an increase of 61% and MSNBC 23%, respectively.

And I am saving the best for last, of course. For the first time, MSNBC is at number one in total day viewers. This is excellent news (although it likely will not make Fox happy), and hopefully, they can maintain that in the months to come. If this shows us anything, it is that Fox has indeed lost their mojo. Their ratings from January were pretty bad as well. No doubt, people are tired of them, and it is nice to see.
