New trouble for Fox News

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Fox Non-News is in a bit of a pickle right now. The propaganda network has recently been churning out many an article about its competitors. These articles are mainly about the same thing. And that “thing” consists of laughing at networks like CNN and MSNBC because their ratings are down.

You can see these articles all over Google. You can see them on the Fox website, an awful place I’d recommend you not visit. And Fox seems to be in its snarky element, as article after article comes out, hammering the other networks with snide and jeering remarks.

Only there is a bit of a problem with the Non-News articles. See, what Fox doesn’t tell you is their own ratings are terrible. This is something they clearly do not want to speak of, but the fact is, Fox is doing terribly, and all their hiding will not change the truth.

The Daily Beast has come out with an article that tells the real story about the dishonest network. The article notes that the drop in ratings for Fox goes back quite far in time. The article noted that Fox has suffered from a year-to-year drop in ratings.

So, the issues with Fox started before the 2020 election. Now, the election did not help the flailing network. Many of their hardcore viewers tuned them out and went to even more conservative networks.

Basically, Fox is attempting to drive the narrative that both CNN and MSNBC are failing due to a “credibility” problem. Only, that is not what is happening. It is usual for networks to lose viewers after major elections. The truth is that what Fox is accusing the other networks of is the very issue their network is struggling with.

Fox is no longer conservative enough for some of its viewers. And they are too conservative for other viewers. This is why their ratings are dropping. Fox has an identity problem. It’s not going away. So if and when you come upon one of their smug little articles, I’d advise you to chuckle and carry on.
