Liz Cheney’s losing battle

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The Republican party is the party of white supremacy. We all know that. With the GOP ready, willing, and eager to lick the feet of disgraced insurrectionist Donald Trump, they have made it clear who and what they stand for. What we are watching right now is a party in freefall. And nobody knows that more than Liz Cheney.

The Wyoming Representative has taken heat for standing up to Trump. One would think that Republicans would have applauded her courage, but with morons like Senators Josh Hawley and Ron Johnson as the GOP faces, courage and individuality are not qualities that it would seem Republicans want to embrace.

On Tuesday, Representative Cheney gave a blistering speech in which she eviscerated the white supremacy that the insurrectionist party seems so proud of. “It’s very important, especially for us as Republicans, to make clear that we aren’t the party of White supremacy,” Liz stated. Speaking of the riot, she said, “We, as Republicans, in particular, have a duty and an obligation to stand against insurrection.”

Good luck with that, Liz. I mean no disrespect to the Wyoming Congresswoman, and I applaud her words. But they will fall on deaf ears with people like Hawley and Johnson. Right now, the GOP has two faces. There is a battle being played out of good versus evil, and it’s aimed straight at the heart of the GOP. Time will tell which side triumphs, but as it stands right now, sadly, it does not look like Cheney is on the winning side.
