Lindsey Graham goes off the rails
The talking heads of MSM continue to mimic chicken-little by clucking that 2022 will follow historic trends and will swing woefully to the GQP. Senator Lindsey Graham has decreed that the GQP will sweep back into power because Biden is ‘ruining the country’.
Presumably, the addled Senator from the Sweet Tea State was in a coma while half a million Americans perished from the COVID-19 Pandemic while grinding the economy to a stand-still.
While ‘ruining the country’ with the riotously successful vaccination program coupled with relief checks, President Joe sits atop a burgeoning approval rating across the spectrum. Where Dear Lindsey will find the swarm of disgruntled voters to usher Republicans back into power is anybody’s guess.
After the violent insurrection on January 6th, Republicans deserted the Party of the Orange Ogre in droves. More than 33,000 registered Republicans left the party in California during the three weeks after the Washington riot. More than 10,000 Republicans changed their registration in Arizona. The New York Times reported that nearly 140,000 Republicans had quit the party in 25 states in its analysis of January voting records.
(It may be argued that the Dems lost voters as well. True, but not to nearly the extent of the desertion rate from the GQP.)
It certainly can’t be argued that the GQP is crab-walking itself back to a more moderate stance. Quite the opposite. Along with the Big Lie, which precipitated the seditious attack on the Capitol, the GQP have embraced one lunacy after another; the supposed ban on red meat being only one of the baseless nothing-burgers foisted on the public recently.
Since January 6th, the GQP has plunged deeper down the rabbit hole of QAnon and the Big Lie. Talk of the GQP regaining power should be taken as another delusion.
