Kyle Rittenhouse has done it again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Right-wing rapscallion Kyle Rittenhouse has done it again and is missing. According to Wisconsin 12, an ABC affiliate, Rittenhouse had not received hearing notices because he is no longer at the address provided to the court upon his release when Mike Lindell and Ricky Schroder paid his bail. Boys will be boys, right?

On January 5, 2021, Rittenhouse partied hard with idols and long time supporters, the Proud Boys, after being arraigned. Tossing back a few brews at the local watering hole at the age of 17 with white supremacists is just what the doctor ordered. Unfortunately, the court ordered he was to have no alcohol or guns. Not too worry though, at 17, Rittenhouse wasn’t supposed to carry firearms across state lines as a minor or possess one in Wisconsin either.

Rittenhouse has displayed the privilege of his party and being white. The police gave a 17-year-old with a firearm refreshments in Kenosha. Later, he walked past the police, with a gun, during a shooting and drove himself home. He was rescued by a group raising his bail that Mike Lindell and Ricky Schroder put money into for a total of 2 million dollars. In context, though, at least he didn’t float a fake $20 or wear a hoodie.

Prosecutors are asking the judge for an additional $200,000 to Kyle’s bail. Defense attorneys argue it’s not needed because they know where he is. He had to move to a safe house because he’s received death threats. They are willing to share that address if the court would keep it hush-hush on his whereabouts.

Rittenhouse’s next scheduled appearance before the court is March 10. Until then, we get to witness the privilege of a white boy who was saved by the rich and famous flaunt the same system that has seen so many people of color incarcerated, for much less.
