Jen Psaki

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki held her first press briefing for the newly inaugurated Biden administration and what a breath of fresh air she was. There was an instant sense of competence and an obvious awareness that we are indeed returning to a state of civility and respect for both the American people and the press. Truth and transparency are only two of the themes she hammered home.

Gone are the days of lies and belligerence. So long to the never-ending attacks and uncivil discourse. Psaki even made it a point to state that she has a deep respect for the role of a free and independent press in our democracy. Acknowledging that there may not always be agreement, she vowed to always be honest.

Today we finally got a real President back. Now we also know that we finally also have a real Press Secretary who will be his voice. All in all so far, this has been a great day for America.
