In one 24 hour period…
Implying there is some play acting going on in Washington, Newt Gingrich was on Hannity asking “since when are your leaders so important that they need to hide behind barbed wire and fencing”, then further states he is “afraid” the country is showing signs of turning authoritarian or “indeed totalitarian”. Well he’s right…just 5 years too late.
At the Senate hearing for the January 6th riot, Ron Johnson quotes a blogger who was at the riot claiming the Trump supporters there were “frail, overweight, had kids with them” and were in a “festive” mood until the violent protesters and “provocateurs” showed up. In other words…don’t believe what you actually saw.
At that same hearing Josh “the fist” Hawley tongue in cheek asks law enforcement officials if they were complicit..then also answers for them..”of course you weren’t”. In response to a statement by General Honore that some officials appear to have been complicit…which is obvious via video.
Ending the day on a high note, David Perdue announced he won’t be running in the 2022 Georgia senate race, the bad news is the GOP is spiraling downward so this clears the way for an exceptionally scary person to run in his place.
Why is this escalating? Evidently a program is in place to keep Trumpism alive and that consists of 1) testing what stupid things can be said or done to keep the Republican base enraged and 2) to get those absurd statements and actions repeated in the mainstream media.
