House Republicans are coming apart at the seams

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

How do we view an elected official who voted their conscience vs. one who continually promotes debunked conspiracy theories about “Jewish Space Lasers” causing fires in the California woods? This is where we’re currently at in the House of Representatives. The third highest ranking House Republican, Liz Cheney, voted for Donald Trump’s impeachment during the House vote.

“I won’t apologize for the vote,” Cheney stated when asked about it. She later delivered an eight minute speech during a “contentious closed-door GOP conference meeting” on Wednesday.

“I think the ship has sailed,” said Maggie Haberman on Anderson Cooper’s show, when asked if there was any way that Republicans could find a way to change the direction or even attempt to apologize, not that we ever thought they would.
