FBI Director Chris Wray just struck down the biggest Republican conspiracy theories

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $785 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate on the January 6th domestic terror attack.

And make no mistake. It was domestic terrorism. Wray even said as much as well as explaining that the quantity of such cases has more than doubled since he came into his position. In addition to this noteworthy information, Director Wray completely tore apart the GOP’S imaginary “scenario” that Antifa and fake Trump supporters were involved in the attack.

Wray’s exact words were, “We have not, to date, seen any evidence of Anarchist violent extremists or people subscribing to Antifa in connection with the 6th.” Of course, these statements will not stop the baseless and vicious GOP conspiracy theories, but it was good to hear Wray acknowledge these conspiracy theories have no basis in reality.

Wray also said the FBI had arrested more than 270 people in regards to the attack. One imagines there will be quite a few more. Wray also stated that many of the people arrested thus far had White Supremacist connections. I am sure that was another statement the GOP did not want to hear.

This did not stop some Republicans from talking about imaginary Antifa people, but Wray quickly shut down that line of questioning. Good for him! Yet another Republican lie is being exposed, and any hopes Republicans had of blaming this on Democrats have bitten the dust.
