Donald Trump melts down in ugly fashion

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The RNC held a “big donor” retreat in Palm Beach on Saturday, starting at the Four Seasons (not the landscaping company), prior to moving on to Mar-a-Lago, at a cost to the RNC of over $100,000, where Trump spoke.

But before the big move, the RNC cleaned house at the Four Seasons. The event was invitation-only, and many were escorted off the premises. Those ejected included Senate candidate Josh Mandel. His opponent, former Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken, was reportedly invited and allowed to stay because she is a big donor.

Trump reportedly spoke for about an hour, lashing out at Mitch McConnell, blaming him this time for not helping overturn the 2020 election – calling him a “dumb son of a b*tch” and “stone cold loser” while the crowd cheered Trump on. He claimed McConnell never thanked him for hiring his wife, Elaine Chao, whom he mocked for resigning in response to his behavior on Jan. 6th.

Trump reiterated his false claims that he won the election, polling the room to get the big donors to agree he won. In his usual nonsensical way, he excoriated many Republicans while simultaneously calling for party unity.

He bragged he threw away the boring speech written for him. He did not say much about his presidency, which aids reportedly wanted him to address. Instead, he focused on his usual litany of grievances.

He attacked Dr. Fauci and praised Republican governors for ignoring public health concerns. He again called immigrants murderers, rapists and drug dealers, claiming most were coming from the Middle East.

He falsely claimed over a million people were at his rally preceding the insurrection, saying they were all disappointed because Pence didn’t have the courage to do the right thing. Of course, he expressed no regret about the insurrection. All in all, it sounds like they had a lovely time. Apparently, this is just the sort of thing these big GQP donors enjoy.
