Donald Trump Jr just blew it in Attorney General probe
Donald Trump, Jr. is in big trouble. Mother Jones has obtained video and documentation proving Donald Trump, Jr. lied in his deposition given last February, regarding his knowledge of, and participation in, arrangements for the Trump International Hotel to purposely and grossly overcharge for event space in connection with his father’s inauguration as President.
Perjury charges are rare in civil cases between two private parties. But Donald Trump, Jr, just lied in a civil case brought by the Attorney General of Washington DC, which is a whole other matter.
It appears Donald Trump, Jr. is likely going to be facing criminal charges for perjury, at a minimum. Meanwhile Donald Trump, Jr. has spent his day on Twitter frantically attacking everyone from Liz Cheney to Stacey Abrams. He appears to know he’s in trouble.
