Donald Trump cease and desists the Republican National Committee as everything falls apart for him
The Republicans need to stop fawning over Trump. Trump has sent out cease-and-desist letters to the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee for using his name and likeness on fundraising emails and merchandise
Yes, people own their likeness. But Trump likely has plans to monetize his likeness for his own benefit and he wants no competition. Maybe he wants to use it for his PAC, siphoning the money from his true believers. Maybe he wants to start a new political party to replace the Republicans. No, Trump is only out for Trump. He is not a true Republican. He does what he wants.
“There’s only one way to contribute to our efforts to elect America First Republican conservatives, and in turn to make America great again, and that’s through Save America PAC and DonaldJTrump.com,” Trump said during his remarks to the Conservative Political Action Conference last week.
“So, go out there and do whatever you can, because we’re going to help a lot of great people, we know the right people to help. We need your help to win, and to fight big tech and the radical left and the DC establishment,” he had said.
Trump wants to keep an “Enemies List”, he wants to keep his fundraising separate from the Republicans. If he doesn’t run, he is likely to take out a management fee anyway. He wants his fundraising and expenses to be opaque and not public. And he reserves to himself whether he will start a new political party under his 100% control.
