Department of Justice appears to be targeting Donald Trump’s Super PAC for financial violations

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

A recent criminal filing by federal prosecutors included a subtle notice that it considers a popular fundraising technique to be legally questionable – contribution matches.

Fundraisers often boast contribution matches in order to coax small-dollar donations, but the practice has recently come under attack because there is often no evidence the matched donations ever occur, amounting to illegal material misrepresentations.
Both parties have used this tactic but Trump’s re-election campaign and its allies in the RNC exploited it to extreme degrees last year, promising 900% matches. Even if such matches were made, this would almost certainly induce matching donors to exceed the federal limits.

The DOJ singled out such practices by the Keep America Great Committee (KAGC), stating it made material misrepresentations. Political compliance attorney Brett Kappel said the DOJ’s comments about KAGC were very significant.

“This prosecution puts fundraisers on notice that the continued use of this very popular fundraising pitch will be treated as a possible violation of the wire and mail fraud statutes,” wrote Kappel.

The KAJC caught the DOJ’s eye due to widespread fraud in virtually all aspects of its operations. It has also been under scrutiny for eliciting pre-checked weekly or monthly donations from donors none-the-wiser. Trump is also known for finding ingenious ways to pocket the money and do whatever he wants with it.

Trump lies about everything so of course he’s going to lie in his fundraising. If KAJC continues these fraudulent practices with the DOJ’s eye on them, there’s yet more charges for Trump to go down for.

Many on Twitter are now predicting Trump will be in jail by this summer. He’s supposedly planning a couple of rallies in June to grift his donors some more. Wouldn’t it be amazing if he were arrested at his rally? A girl can dream, can’t she?
