The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Tuesday, taking a page from the Republican playbook, launched a $500,000 ad campaign targeting eight GOP House members and their ties to QAnon congresswoman, Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Among the targets are House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy of California, who has promised to “talk” to Greene about her insane beliefs including that Jewish-controlled lasers from outer space sparked massive wildfires in California two years ago, calling for the execution of leading Democrats and that school mass shootings are fake.

The launch comes one day after Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, in a rare rebuke of his own party and a not-so-subtle dig at McCarthy, said the “loony lies and conspiracy theories” touted by Greene amount to “cancer” on the Republican Party and the country.

During the 2020 elections, Republicans ran ads in some districts flipped by Democrats, accusing them of wanting to defund the police and let chaos reign in “Democrat” cities. In fact, Democrats support reallocating some of the funds used for policing to other areas, including officers trained to respond to and de-escalate certain types of situations, and funding for family services.

In a dark a scary voice over, the announcer intones, “QAnon, a conspiracy theory born online, took over the Republican Party,” while images of Greene and Lauren Boebert of Colorado and also a QAnon adherent, flash on the screen. “Sent followers to Congress and, with Donald Trump, incited a mob that attacked the Capitol and murdered a cop.”

QAnon is an internet conspiracy theory that falsely alleges that the world is run by a cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles who are plotting against former President Donald J. Trump.

Democrats are holding up Greene as the symbol of the post-Trump Republican Party, and are working to force Republicans to vote on whether to allow her to remain on House committees. On Saturday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s press office issued a news release under the headline “Minority Leader McCarthy (̶G̶O̶P̶)̶ (QAnon) Embraces Marjorie Taylor Greene.”
