Ohio Rep Gym Jordan (R-Idiot) — the biggest reason I threw out, burned, or gave away all my light blue dress shirts — is back in the news again. This time it’s because he wants a hearing on “cancel culture.” That’s right. Instead of doing more important things like working to hold the previous administration accountable, working to ensure the terrorists who attacked the US Capitol are held accountable, or even other things like taking care of the pandemic Gym would rather do these idiotic stunts.
Meanwhile, the internet has gotten wind of Gym’s latest stunt and has responded appropriately. A number of people have called out Gym and his fellow Republicans for being total hypocrites on this issue, given how hard Republicans all worked to cancel people and organizations they don’t like, such as Colin Kaepernick, Black Lives Matter, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. llhan Omar, and so on. Others spoke out about the Republican obsession with themselves and their benefactors not being held accountable for their actions. Still others pointed out how “cancel culture” is the latest code word for those who want to spout racist garbage all day long and not be held accountable.
Gym, maybe you would not be seen as one of the biggest horse’s asses in all of Congress if you actually did your job and represented the people of Ohio instead of wasting time with hearings for stupid shit. America is facing a crisis unlike any it has seen in its history, and instead of working to solve the crisis, you’d rather waste our time with stuff like this. You’d rather fan the flames of hatred and division that you and the GQP helped Orange Florida Man ignite.
