This is ugly for Marco Rubio
Val Demings (Our next senator, Democratic Party, Florida) was always going to be a thorn in Rubio’s side. Val is educated, sassy and charismatic. As soon as she stepped into the race, it was clear that Rubio had a problem.
And perhaps Demings is the explanation for Rubio’s bizarre behavior of late. In any event, it is clear that the Florida Senatorial race will be an exciting one. And now we are getting news that should make every Democrat smile. Rep. Demings has raised $4.6 million in the first quarter of her campaign!
That is a heck of a lot of money. And it doesn’t happen all that often. This only confirms what we already knew-the lady is a star. Of course, beating Rubio will still require work. Florida’s a tough state. Also, for some inexplicable reason, some people actually like Mr. Rubio.
At least at the current time, Rubio seems to be feebly trying to paint Demings as a socialist. This line of attack is laughable and shows what a fool he is. It also will not work, but we will leave that to Marco to discover for himself. But the race is highly winnable people! We just need to do the work.
It helps that we have a super candidate who seems to have captured the imagination of the public. I imagine Demings has a very exciting future ahead of her in Politics.
