You just can’t make this stuff up

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

With everything going on in the world right now, it is a shame that we have children in Congress. Both Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene have no home training that ever taught them how to behave in public. The way they carried on during President Biden’s State of the Union is shameful. One of the worst moments was when Lauren Boebert interrupted the president’s talk about his now-deceased son Beau by shouting out: “You put them in there, 13 of them.” Very few people agreed with Boebert’s tacky behavior, as she was booed by other members of Congress. The photo seen around the world of Boebert and Greene with their mouths wide open says it all. Neither belongs in Congress.

When President Biden addressed securing the U.S.-Mexico border, both idiots began chanting “build that wall.” They were completely disrespectful and classless, turning their backs on the president when he entered the chambers. USA Today reported that John Thune (R-SD) condemned both Greene and Boebert for what he called their “antics.” He commented: “I don’t think there’s any place for that. It’s inappropriate. A State of the Union speech, whether you agree with the president or not, is an opportunity to show the American people the respect that the office deserves.” Please. These two do not know the meaning of “respect,” as they obviously have none for themselves.

Boebert calls herself a “born again Christian,” which is a joke, though she fits in with many of Trump’s evangelists. They do way more judging than they do saving, which as anyone with any sense of spirituality knows is a sin. Apparently, sins do not really matter to these people if they are the ones committing them. It is shameful what some of our representatives have become. DNC Chair Jamie Harrison was not amused by the behavior of these two. According to Business Insider, Harrison said that they should have been wearing trash bags because their behavior was “sitting in the garage for a week type of trash.” Apparently, other Republicans agreed, as they booed them and refused to join in their chants according to Business Insider. Sean Patrick Maloney called Boebert’s outburst “disgraceful” and went on to say: “I don’t know that I belong to the same human race as someone who thinks it make sense to yell at someone when they’re talking about their dead son.” These women have no place in Congress. They need to be sent packing the next time they are up for election. This is exactly the type of representative we don’t need in Congress.

Joe Biden, as always, lifted himself above the fray and gave a powerful, moving speech despite the constant classless interruptions from Greene and Boebert. He reminded us that tolerance is good, but disregarding ignorance is even better. Seeing Nancy Pelosi and Vice President Kamala Harris overseeing the proceedings was awe worthy. President Biden continues his quest to make governmental institutions resemble the population of the country, and that is a beautiful thing to behold. President Biden has worked hard for us, and we need to keep fighting for him.
