Everyone piles on after Donald Trump’s “Yosemite” disaster
Donald Trump had to swallow the Democrats’ environmental legislation today, so when he signed it, he naturally tried to take credit for it. The trouble for Trump is that he tried giving yet another prepared speech that he clearly had no hand in writing, and had never seen before. And with Trump’s cognitive abilities continuing to decline, it was a recipe for disaster.
When Trump got to the portion of his speech that referenced Yosemite National Park, he misread it as “Yo-SEM-ite” – only to stop and try again, this time coming up with something closer to “Yo-SEM-in-ite.” Various people mispronounce things; that’s not the point. The problem here is that Trump appeared to have never seen the word “Yosemite” spelled out on paper in his life, and therefore didn’t recognize it when he saw it in his speech.
It’s a reminder of just how illiterate Donald Trump is to begin with, and just how badly his mind is failing him of late. The responses on Twitter were merciless, as they should be. The guy is a pure villain, and a clueless idiot.
