Yet another Donald Trump campaign adviser under federal criminal investigation

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The list of Donald Trump political advisers and underlings who have ended up criminally indicted is perhaps too lengthy to recite from memory. Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Rick Gates, Michael Cohen, George Papadopoulos, Elliott Broidy, Lev Parnas, Igor Fruman, Ken Kurson, and Steve Bannon are just the headliners.

Now yet another Trump political adviser is under federal criminal investigation. The Wall Street Journal says that the Feds are targeting former Trump campaign adviser Barry Bennett for allegedly acting as an unregistered agent of the government of Qatar. We’re detecting a pattern here, because just last month, Trump campaign adviser Tom Barrack was arrested for being an unregistered agent of another Middle Eastern government, that being United Arab Emirates.

As always ends up being the case, this isn’t so much about whether Barry Bennett – a guy you’ve probably never heard of to begin with – goes to prison. It’s a question of whether the Feds can push Bennett into cutting a plea deal and cooperating against the bigger fish in Trump world. These criminal probes all have a habit of leading back to Donald Trump himself, and anyone willing and able to give up the dirt on him is surely looking at significant leniency from the Feds.
