Yes, these Trump Organization indictments mean Donald Trump is heading to prison

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Whenever the Manhattan District Attorney’s criminal case against Donald Trump and the Trump Organization has taken a major step forward, most (not all) of the media has either downplayed it, ignored it, or tried to spin it into somehow meaning that Trump is going to get away with it all. This isn’t surprising. “Trump is going to get away with it all” is one of the most ratings-friendly narratives for liberal media pundits, because it scares and outrages people into staying tuned in. So of course the media has been hesitant to acknowledge that Trump has been on a clear path to prison all along.

In fact, when the news broke a month ago that the Manhattan DA was empaneling a grand jury for the specific purpose of bringing criminal indictments in the Trump investigation, I warned you all that once the initial round of indictments surfaced, large chunks of the media would say “Well, that’s probably all there is.” After all, what better way to scare people into staying tuned in than by pretending that the initial indictments are the only indictments?

Sure enough, that’s what happened today. The New York Times reported earlier today that as soon as next week, the Manhattan DA is criminally indicting Allen Weisselberg and the Trump Organization. The latter is a huge deal, because you don’t indict a company unless you can prove that most or all of its higher-ups were in on the criminal conspiracy. Given that the Trump Organization’s higher-ups basically consist of Weisselberg, Matthew Calamari, and several members of the Trump family, this indictment of the company means that they’re all going down.

Indicting the Trump Organization, in addition to indicting Weisselberg, is a power play on the District Attorney’s part. It’ll instantly shatter the Trump Organization, causing everything from financial insolvency, to panicked top executives trying to figure out how to throw each other under the bus. And it’s a fairly obvious precursor to indicting the individuals who run the Trump Organization.

In fact, while it’s been fairly obvious from the start that Donald Trump would end up being indicted, this is the strongest sign we’ve seen yet that some or all of his kids will be indicted. After all, three of his kids are or were Vice Presidents of the Trump Organization – and it’s now clear that prosecutors are coming after the entire Trump Organization on a criminal level.

Yet today we’ve seen various pundits pop up everywhere from MSNBC to Twitter, trying to suggest that the Trump Organization indictment means Donald Trump and his family are somehow going to avoid criminal charges. Come on. It doesn’t work that way. The media is also trying to scare us into believing that Trump will magically go free unless Weisselberg cuts a deal, even though it’s clear that prosecutors already have proof on paper of Trump’s financial crimes, and Weisselberg’s confirmation would merely help pile on.

The Trump Organization indictment is going to cause such chaos for Team Trump that it’ll be difficult to precisely predict the fallout. We’ll see who panics and cuts a deal as a result of it, which family members turn on each other, and so on. But today’s news makes it more clear than ever that Donald Trump is heading to prison. The doomsday pundits can spin it however they want, but their schtick is wearing mighty thin as this criminal prosecution continues to come together.
