With Donald Trump gone, the GOP is looking at absolute calamity
The crystal blue waters are a great place to go when your head needs clearing. There one can sit, listen, and muse about the country — and where it’s at right now. Where Donald Trump is at right now. In the next month or two, there are likely to be more indictments. It will be interesting to watch the Republicans wail and moan and try to glorify Trump, make excuses for him, and breathlessly defend him with more verbal garbage.
The GOP needs to clear its head-space. Perhaps they don’t have a place to go when it gets to be too much. Maybe they are permanently lost to the corporate “business as usual” of politics. But this is a warning for them, and they really should listen though they won’t. The GOP could be a Shakespearean tragedy. They have yet to learn what they’re heading for.
If Trump is indicted — once more or twice more or three times more, he will ANGRY. He will speak out. He will NOT be running a presidential campaign. He’ll be running a conviction campaign.
He will break the rules. He won’t listen to judges. Already we see that happening in the Bragg case. So what happens when the amount of stress is doubled? Or quadrupled? Or even quintupled? We have yet to learn what is coming down the pike, but we’ve had hints. I believe he’ll be indicted in Georgia. I also think Jack Smith will indict him, although on how many charges, nobody knows.
The point is — the GOP will have no candidate. WHO will be their leader? Who will guide them? Trump won’t let it be anyone but him. I feel tragedy coming for the GOP. I think they will soon be involved in an unstoppable, searing nightmare that they can’t stop because they never did listen to their better angels. And then it will be too late.
