“Wickedness in high places” – Rev. Al Sharpton rips Donald Trump to pieces during George Floyd eulogy

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. George Floyd’s funeral service took place in Houston today, with Reverend Al Sharpton delivering the televised eulogy. Sharpton’s speech was lengthy and covered a number of key topics – but the part that’ll get the most headlines is the part where he ripped Donald Trump to pieces.

Reverend Sharpton said this, in obvious reference to Donald Trump: “You’re sitting down trying to figure out how you’re going to stop the protests, rather than how you’re going to stop the brutality. You’re calling your cabinet in, trying to figure out how it’s going to affect your vote, rather than how it’s going to affect our lives. You’re scheming on how you can spin the story, rather than you can achieve justice. Wickedness in high places. You take rubber bullets and tear gas to clear out peaceful protesters, and then take a Bible and walk in front of a church, and use a church as a prop. Wickedness in high places.”

It’s worth noting that Al Sharpton surely wouldn’t have made his eulogy this overtly political if he didn’t have the blessing of George Floyd’s family to do so. Floyd’s brother has previously stated that when Donald Trump called him on the phone last week, Trump behaved like a jerk the whole time. Meanwhile, the family invited Joe Biden to speak during the funeral via video.
