Why we’re going to win

There a number of complex factors that go into any presidential election. But sometimes, no matter all the variables at play, one of them trumps them all – pun intended. On Thursday, Donald Trump took the stage after the entire media had spent three weeks dishonestly trying to force his opponent to drop out, and after the entire media had spent the past week going soft on him in the wake of the shooting. All that Trump had to do was not trip over his podium, and, well, he tripped over his podium. Not literally, though that might have been less embarrassing.

Trump’s Republican National Convention speech was such a disaster, even for him, that the media had no choice but to ding him for it. Multiple CNN on-air commentators said he failed to meet the moment. The right wing Wall Street Journal criticized Trump’s speech. The prevailing narrative on social media right now, being seen by those persuadable voters who didn’t watch the speech, is that Trump is completely out of gas. And that’s before getting to the extremist stuff like Trump’s Project 2025 and whatever planet JD Vance comes from.

So yeah, we’re going to win. Why? Because President Biden can beat this senile extremist clown. We can win with Biden. Even if the media gets its way and goads Biden into retiring, then we’ll win with Kamala Harris and whoever her running mate ends up being. I don’t care what they throw at us – and they’ve already thrown everything but the kitchen sink – we’re still going to win.

Keep in mind, though, that this isn’t “optimism” on my part. My prediction that we’re going to win is based on the presumption that all of you are going to do your part. Competitive elections are won by the side that donates, phone banks, knocks on doors, does online volunteer shifts, and participates in voter registration drives. That’s what I’m counting from you (yes you, the person reading this article). And that’s why we’re going to win. Donate to Palmer Report via PayPal or GoFundMe.
