Why the media is falsely predicting TOTAL DOOM

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Something is going on right now that I am positive many of you have noticed. And it could be our biggest detriment going forward. The narrative – used by many dishonest pundits – is that we’re already doomed.

I see it everywhere put forth over and over again — by shrewd, gleaming-eyed pundits. It does not seem to matter how much we win. It does not seem to matter how much President Biden accomplishes. According to these particular pundits — we’re all doomed.

It’s kind of like convincing oneself the vacation is going to suck before one even gets to the resort. Think about it. This attitude is pervasive and does nothing except demotivate and demoralize. And none of us like it. But still, like ants in a cupboard, they persist.

“When the Republicans take control after the mid-terms..”

“Since the Democrats will lose the House come to the mid-terms…”

I’m not even going to go on with examples. You all get the picture. Listen to me, readers and friends. They did this during the 2020 election. They did it during the Georgia special election. They ALWAYS do it because picking on Democrats is part of their schtick. And we have to counteract that narrative.

Negativity is toxic and, in fact, can actually CAUSE one to fail. Here is another example. The Olympics are on now. Picture scores of people packed into these sprawling events screaming, “You’re going to lose!!” Somehow I doubt the Olympic athletes would appreciate that.

So why do the pundits do it? They do it because it fits their odious narratives. They LOVE negativity. They feed off it. And brace yourselves because this type of talk will only worsen as we go forward.

When I say “buckle up,” I am serious. Let’s all try to get these pundits to do better. When you see the negativity, please call them out — and turn the television off. Please don’t pay attention to their unpleasant story lines. We can’t control the media, but we can control our own reactions to them, and that’s really what matters the most.
