Why is Donald Trump suddenly talking about moving to New Jersey?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The former guy is now letting it be known that he’s considering relocating from Mar-a-Lago to his golf club in New Jersey for the summer. No clear reason is being given for the move. But given the timing, it probably has something to do with the New Jersey golfing season. Here’s the thing, though.

There has been a lot of idle speculation across social media that when Trump is criminally indicted in New York, he’ll avoid standing trial because Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will somehow magically be able to keep Trump from being extradited.

This isn’t really how things work. But we were wondering if perhaps Trump was naive (or delusionally desperate) enough to believe that squatting in Florida would somehow keep New York from being able to arrest him.

So if nothing else, if Trump is looking at spending the summer in New Jersey, then he’s at least aware that there’s no stopping his arrest no matter which state he’s in at the time. Either that, or Trump has become so delusional about his fate, he’s convinced himself that New York is somehow magically never going to even try to make a move on him, even though the Manhattan District Attorney has a widely documented grand jury in the process of criminally indicting him.
