Who’s in charge right now?

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If you believe White House Doctor Sean Conley, Donald Trump is in good shape and doesn’t need oxygen, even though he’s been given multiple experimental coronavirus drugs. If you believe White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Donald Trump is in dire condition and he may not ever fully recover. The thing is, these guys both have access to the same inside information – and at least one of them is being blatantly dishonest about it.

Meanwhile Donald Trump – who is sick enough with coronavirus that he’s been given two different experimental treatments and has needed supplemental oxygen just to keep breathing – is supposedly tweeting his support for the stimulus right now. Who’s posting these tweets? Is Trump involved? Is Trump even conscious?

Meanwhile Mike Pence is nowhere to be found. Why isn’t he out there showing his face to the cameras, so the country can at least know that someone in this regime is still alive and kicking? Is Pence too afraid of stepping on Trump’s toes, or is Pence secretly ill as well? He announced yesterday that he tested negative for coronavirus, but there’s no reason to take him or anyone around him at their word.

At this point we have different Trump underlings giving us wildly conflicting stories about Donald Trump’s medical condition, meaning we have no idea what condition the President of the United States is in. We have no idea who’s running policy from the President’s Twitter account while he’s ill. The Vice President has all but vanished. Who’s running the country right now? No one. It’s been essentially true for the past four years, and now it appears to be literally true.
