Donald Trump has whiny conniption about how many people want him impeached

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

If you’ve been following the news this week, you know the latest major polls show that between 53% and 58% of Americans support the impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump, and nearly as many Americans support Trump’s removal. Don’t tell that to Trump, who is obviously being fed some false information by his handlers in the hope of keeping him calm. Nonetheless, he’s still going berserk about it.

Here’s what Donald Trump tweeted just now: “Only 25 percent want the President Impeached, which is pretty low considering the volume of Fake News coverage, but pretty high considering the fact that I did NOTHING wrong. It is all just a continuation of the greatest Scam and Witch Hunt in the history of our Country!”

To be clear, the “25 percent” number isn’t real; it’s less than half what the polls are saying. What’s remarkable here is that even though Trump is under the impression that only a fourth the country wants him impeached, he still thinks that’s distressingly high.

Imagine what Donald Trump’s response will be once the news finally reaches him that twice that many people support his impeachment and removal from office. Yesterday’s new polling data in particular pointed to 30% of Republicans supporting Trump’s impeachment. If that number gets confirmed by upcoming polls, then Trump is truly in trouble.
