Donald Trump whines like a baby over not getting his way
The further we get into the post-acquittal stage of Donald Trump’s presidency, the more it’s looking like he’s focused primarily on grievances, whining, and petty revenge. Trump’s latest target is Democratic Senator Joe Manchin, who – along with every other Democratic Senator as well as Republican Senator Mitt Romney – voted to convict Trump. Suffice it to say that Trump isn’t happy:
I was very surprised & disappointed that Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia voted against me on the Democrat’s totally partisan Impeachment Hoax. No President has done more for the great people of West Virginia than me (Pensions), and that will always continue. Every Republican Senator except Romney, many highly religious people, all very smart, voted against the Impeachment Hoax. @SenCapito was all in (a great person). I was told by many that Manchin was just a puppet for Schumer & Pelosi. That’s all he is!
Of course this comes as no surprise. Joe Manchin is one of the least liberal Democrats in the Senate. But while he sometimes votes with the Republicans in instances where it’s not going to affect the outcome, so he can go home and point out his bipartisanship, he’s never once cast a deciding vote with the Republicans.
Manchin’s vote wouldn’t have affected the outcome one way or another in this instance, but he nonetheless voted to convict and remove. Donald Trump can whine all he wants about Manchin, but Trump couldn’t even get all of the Senators in his own party to acquit him. The reality is that Trump just keeps whining and seeking petty vengeance against those he blames for his impeachment and his potential 2020 downfall.
