While the media was busy pretending Joe Biden was senile, they missed a massive House Republican senility scandal
By now we already know what went so horribly wrong in 2024. The entire media spent the entire time pretending that President Joe Biden was fully senile, even though they knew that he was a lifelong mis-speaker, and they knew that he was ill on the day of the debate. The media dishonestly destroyed Biden for ratings, even while dishonestly downplaying the fact that Donald Trump actually is fully senile (Hannibal Lecter anyone?). But now it turns out the media’s negligence went a lot deeper.
When the major media outlets were busy spending the second half of 2024 pretending that Biden had dementia, they were apparently too busy to notice that House Republican Kay Granger disappeared entirely. Now a news outlet called the Dallas Express is reporting that Granger has been secretly living in a memory care facility for months. Major news outlets like The Guardian and Rolling Stone are now also picking up the Dallas Express story.
We’re still waiting for more details and context to surface regarding this bizarre story. But the way the Dallas Express tells is, Granger hasn’t voted for months, her congressional office has supposedly been shut down for awhile, and she essentially stopped being a member of Congress a long time ago. And yet the major media outlets, who have people roaming the halls of Congress, didn’t bother to pick up on any of this while they were busy chasing Biden out of the race.
It’s not clear why anyone involved would choose to hide Kay Granger’s condition (and hide her) instead of just having her resign and be replaced in a special election. In any case, since she didn’t run for reelection, she’s about to be replaced by her successor in a couple weeks anyway. Whatever really happened, and whoever was behind it, it’ll all come out soon enough. That includes the question of whether other House Republicans, including Speaker Mike Johnson, were in on the secret.
But really, if the major media outlets are so obsessed with scrutinizing older politicians for signs of potential dementia, to the point that they chased an incumbent President out of the race with 100 days to go simply because he got verbally flustered during the debate in much the same way he’s been getting verbally flustered for forty years, then maybe the media should have caught on that a House Republican – possibly the deciding vote – may have been hidden away in a dementia facility? Then again, the media never bothered to cover Donald Trump’s advanced dementia symptoms, so this was never about the dementia. It was about the media wanting Biden out of the race for the sake of ratings. And that was an act of virtual treason on the media’s part.
