Whether or not President Kamala Harris will have a Senate majority is going to hinge on this one thing:
The more I look at the numbers, the more it looks like the 2024 Senate majority is going to come down to Democratic Senator Jon Tester’s reelection race in Montana. It’s a red state but Tester is very popular there, and by all accounts he has about a 50-50 chance of winning in November. If Tester loses, there’s no realistic path for the Democrats to keep the Senate. But if Tester wins, the odds are the Democrats will keep the Senate.
We need President Kamala Harris to take office with a Senate majority, so she can pass legislation and appoint judges and justices.
