When are we going to hold the media accountable for its nonstop lies about 2024?
Yesterday the mainstream media did what it always does. It ignored the recent Quinnipiac, Emerson, Yahoo News, and Wall Street Journal polls that all show President Biden beating Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2024 matchup, and instead hyped a single Washington Post poll which supposedly has Trump ahead of Biden. The (entire) media pretended that this new poll was the only new poll, and then pivoted into narratives about why Trump is ahead of Biden.
The media knows that the majority of Americans are scared to death at the idea of another Trump presidency, so the media ignores all the polls that show Biden winning, cherry picks the one poll that shows Trump winning, and then uses this poll as supposed “proof” that Biden is too old, he’s not popular enough, and all the other bullshit narratives that the media has been hyping about Biden from the start.
The killer is that the entire media is now doing this on a regular basis. A decade ago, it was only Fox News behaving like this. During the Obama years, Fox would claim the stock market was down for the year when it was actually up for the year, and then have two panelists “debate” about how much or little blame to put on Obama for the stock market being down. But now every Sunday morning channel routinely resorts to this same level of – let’s just call it what it is – fake news. It gets worse.
Donald Trump has been criminally indicted in Manhattan, on dozens of felonies. He’s about to be criminally indicted in Georgia and by the DOJ, on dozens more felony counts. He’ll face (at least) three criminal trials well before the 2024 election. Realistically speaking, he has about a 99% chance of being convicted of at least one of those dozens of felony counts before the election. He’ll be in prison. Yet the (entire) media continues to approach the 2024 election as if it existed in this fantasy world where Trump is magically off the legal hook, has no criminal troubles, and will somehow magically not be in prison by the time of the election.
It’s not just that the media is flat out lying to you about what the 2024 polls are saying (yes, it’s a lie when the media only shows you one poll and pretends it’s the only poll, while omitting the fact that all the other polls say the opposite). It’s that the media is lying about who’s ahead in a hypothetical 2024 matchup that WILL NOT HAPPEN because one of these two people WILL BE IN PRISON.
Every single bit of 2024 election coverage we’ve seen to date – every last word of it, from every single news outlet and every single talking head – has been complete BULLSHIT. It’s all based on the laugh out loud premise that Donald Trump will somehow magically still be a free man by then. The media is just constantly lying to us about 2024. It’s lie after lie after lie after lie after lie, for the sole purpose of scaring and outraging you into staying tuned in. When are we going to say enough is enough and decide to stop passively letting the entire media lie to us nonstop all day every day? Enough is enough!
