What’s good for the goose…

You know that old expression, “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander?” Well — Canada is taking this expression VERY seriously. After Donald Trump’s endless taunting of Canada, Canada has found a unique way to strike back—right in the face of Trump’s narcissism.

I point you toward Vaughan in Ontario, Canada. They have a particular street called “American Avenue.” Oh NO. Oh no, oh yes. Naturally, there are now decisions to be made! These decisions involve dumping the name “America “and changing it to something else.”

This city, with a population of 350,000, is seriously considering this new idea. They might want to replace the “America” with Terry Fox Avenue. “Terry Fox is one of Canada’s most beloved national heroes whose courage, determination and selflessness have inspired generations of Canadians and raised millions of dollars for cancer research.” Online, the announcement was greeted with curiosity and agreement:

“I get it.”

“How about Joe Biden avenue?”

“American’t avenue!!”

“No surprise.”

“Change the public toilet names too.”

“In a word, YES!”

“How about Gulf of Mexico Ave?”

I get why Canada would do this. Trump, however, is likely to turn into a big chief blunder cloud; perhaps he’ll even call Canadian traitors his favorite word of the day (and one of the few words he knows.) So, if Canada wants to do this, I say go for it. It’d be a fitting punishment for the man who is frankly out to destroy them.
