What you have to ignore on election day

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Sometimes, when one is feeling nervous or has a severe case of agitation, it is good to remember. And I know so many of us worry. But worry will not do anything. So I ask you to ignore the pundits, ignore the “Republicans have this in the bag,” and think about history — recent history.

Think about the election of 2020 when everyone said we couldn’t win against Donald Trump. Many claimed the election of 2020 was over before people started voting! But we won—remember that. We beat the odds. We WON.

Remember the Georgia special election. Remember what they said. Republicans got this. They have it in the bag. We won BOTH seats. Georgia now has two democratic senators. We beat them. They were in shock.

Remember the Kansas abortion amendment. Remember what they said. But we won that too. Kansas came out and showed their fury We won. Remember.

Remember Pat Ryan. He won the New York special election. Every poll had him down. Every pollster was shocked. He won, and he won but good. Remember. Remember Alaska. Remember every damn race they said we couldn’t win, and we DID IT.

Ignore them. Don’t let them get in your head. And please remember history. We did it, and we can do it again. And like in the past, they will be shocked and in a stupor while we celebrate.
