What wasn’t in Donald Trump’s safe may be more important than what was in his safe

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

According to reports from various major news outlets, Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago safe was a hotel style safe that was left over from when his office used to be a bridal suite. It obviously wouldn’t hold all those boxes of classified documents the Feds seized. So where was he hiding the boxes? And what if anything was in that little safe?

– Not sure what’s more laughable, Trump’s allies desperately trying to spin this FBI raid of Trump’s home as if it were somehow a good thing for him, or so many folks in the mainstream media going along with such remarks as if they were in any way realistic.

– Merrick Garland doesn’t care that you’ve been impatient with him. He doesn’t care that Trump is enraged at him. He doesn’t care that House Republicans are threatening him. None of that was ever going to influence his legal approach to this case. And now he’s taking the bold actions that he and his DOJ spent all this time studiously building up to.
