What the Republicans fear most

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The real threat is not Donald Trump. Heck of a way to start an article, but it’s true. Donald Trump is a has-been. He’s over. Who is the real threat? Well — there’s more than one. But allow me if you will to share some tweets with you from this threat:

“Shenanigans in New Jersey.”

“They’re cheating.”

“So many voting discrepancies in New Jersey.”

“Murphy is a snake who cheated.”

“Prove to us that Phil Murphy won.”

“History will show the world how Phil Murphy cheated.”

“Phil Murphy won nothing.”

“The whole world knows Murphy cheated.”

“That evil man STOLE the New Jersey Governor’s race.”

There are thousands more like this.

This is the danger. It is not the only danger, but it is a danger nonetheless. The MAGA folks seem to be saying they will never accept another election again unless their candidate wins.

And because the GOP is terrified of their own base, they will go along with it — at least some will. Most will. All the pundits talk about Democrats being fearful of everything, including their own shadows. But it is, in reality, the GOP who has the most fear.

They are being led by thousands of people, many of whom believe in insurrections, favor violence as the ultimate way of getting things done, believe no race is fair unless their candidate wins, and believe crazy alt-right conspiracy theories that have become mainstream.

Because the GOP cares about nothing but power, they will allow these walking and talking balls of fury to dictate their every move. So we have to amplify our own message. But we also have to let the American people SEE this for what it is.

And as evil, as Trump is — even if he were jailed tomorrow — this would not solve any of our issues. It is not like the GOP would drop their cowardice because it’s a part of them.

We’re living in a whole other reality these days. It is different than literally anything we’ve known before. We are sharing America with a subset of people who don’t care about anything except their own bubbling anger.

These people are malevolent and dark. And they are a far bigger threat than Trump currently is. It is so vitally important that we amplify our own message. We cannot forget this very real threat. Because Maga’s fury unleashed isn’t going away anytime soon.
